I am not on these boards a lot anymore and I’m not sure she is either, but we lost our barn in a fire recently (horses survived!) and I’m looking for her sage advice on the rebuild as we want to do something completely different looking that doesn’t remind us of what we lost. I hope this is ok, but if anyone knows her personally and has her contact information, would you mind messaging me so that I can give you my contact info and she can contact me if she is willing? I don’t have any personal info on YL but just wanted to say that is so heartbreaking, I’m sorry you lost your barn but so grateful the horses survived. Good luck rebuilding.

Thank you. It is a miracle the horses survived, the 6 year old is the son of a member of the original COTH baby green group, Jade, and he was standing in the stall he was born in. The fire was contained to the tack room until I opened the door to feed, I had no sign when I stood outside the tack room door that the fire had already burned itself almost entirely out in there - it was 0 degrees and so I was wearing heavy gloves, hat & coat. There was an electrical fault in the mini fridge. The horses were perfectly happy and nickering for breakfast. Much to be thankful for.

Horrifying, but glad you lost only “stuff”.
& That neither you nor horses were injured.

So scary. I’m happy you are okay and your ponies are okay. Rebuilding will be quite the process, but I hope you build something brand new that you will love. Use it as an excuse to get some things you wish you had in the other barn!

I am glad the horses are fine but when you said you opened the door I’m guessing the fire re-ignited with the oxygen. Bless the angels that were with you at that time, you could have been lost.
