As my youngster and I have started doing more work on bending and riding leg-to-hand, and jumping where he needs a fair amount of leg support to keep up some forward energy, I’ve been finding that the outside of my knee hurts when I apply leg, right at the level of the fibula or so. It’s not very bad at this point, and there’s no pain if I’m just sitting or posting or in two point (or doing anything in my non-riding life), so I’m a little reluctant to actually seek professional help if there are some exercises I can do to try first. Any thoughts?
Sounds like maybe a tight IT band?
