That’s awesome Gidget- I’m hoping you’ll continue to post pictures and updates as you learn. It was fun to see your journey to the ‘other’ side, and you looked so happy and comfortable side saddle.

Will do, Romewhip.
You know, it’s one of those things you either “dig it” or you don’t…and I’m DEFINITELY diggin’ it!
Just want to put this out there for anyone who finds this forum and needs further opinion:
I’ve always ridden med-deep and flat saddles and been okay minus random underwear mishaps (thongs are a horrible idea). I’ve been riding in a friend’s deep-seat saddle because my County was stolen and OMG OUCH. I will never buy a deep-seat saddle.
These underwear are heaven-sent: http://www.target.com/p/hanes-women-s-premium-invisible-smooth-seamless-boyshort-ns49as-assorted-colors-patterns/-/A-14504606#prodSlot=large_1_3
And this powder is 100% necessary in summer time: http://www.lushusa.com/Silky-Underwear-Dusting-Powder/03634,en_US,pd.html#start=1
Chafing has to do with what part of your anatomy you sit on (too much anterior tilt), and the type of saddle (definitely not the deep seats with big thigh rolls de jour). And side saddle will not cause chafing because of the positioning of the legs (And do NOT grab the leaping horse with the right leg (or you will sit crooked).
Hi Ideayoda!
Thanks for your post.
Sorry for not acknowledging in sooner. For some reason, I’m not getting email notifications from COTH anymore.
