Just posted a recent photo and short video we did earlier today - see link below:

He’s soooo cute!!! He looks really good.

He’s lovely in the video. Looks like he’s going to become a very big fellow when he’s grown.

Congratulations on the results. Maybe it WAS something he ate.

Beautiful boy! I wonder if it is a growth spurt. Even walking uphill his little bum looks higher than his withers. I remember when my sisters qh had a big spurt around 14 months. The little dude looked like his hind quarters belonged to a different horse! Very weird movement.

But her little guy grew up to be a beautiful, sound, riding horse and I think yours will too.

Thanks guys…appreciate the kind words.

He looks great

So happy for you! What a fun-loving, wonderful guy is Woape!! So happy for you, Carl!!

Wheeeee look at him!

Thanks guys…it is so good to see him looking better…just hope he continues…and gets better and better…

Fabulous video! He looks great now and hopefully the upward trend will continue.

Wheeeee! He’s having a blast!

We arranged for a chiropractor with training for horse treatment to come and take a look at woape earlier this week. He is an English guy, settled over here like myself. Seemed pretty thorough and said woape has three slight twists - one in the neck, one mid-back and another above the rear legs. Nothing severe he said, only slight and suggested we ease him into some light training - walking over poles on the ground for just a few mins. Interestingly, he said he’s encountered several young horses with walking issues post castration…maybe due to stall confinement, or growth spurt…who knows?! But we’ll keep an eye on him, see how he goes and hope he continues to improve.

It has been a while so I thought it was time for an update…

woape seems to be doing great…he kept improving over the summer and into fall…we tried (slowly) to move him back in with the herd but it did not go well…so we have recently set up his own section of the pasture where he now has his own shelter, food supply etc - he still has the two minis for company too, so is not alone.

I’ve added and dated three very short videos (Oct/Nov/Dec) to the facebook page linked below. The October video shows his reaction when I walked away from him on the pasture…then November shows him exercising on the riding area…and the last one, filmed a few days ago, shows his initial reaction to his new area…

I hope you’ll spend a few moments to take a quick look and let us know your thoughts.

Thanks, as ever
