Anybody else finds it a bit weird there’s a closing ceremony, yet the Paralympics haven’t started yet :(.
These athletes have worked hard too, it would be nice if they could have the same attention, broadcasting time etc as the others. Why can’t it all be part of the one Games with a closing ceremony at the end of the Paralympics? 
i believe it is only till after Rio that the Olympic and Paralympic games are scheduled to be in same place. The IOC and the IPC are not connected, but work together
Here is the website. My understanding is it is held using most of the same facilities, but there are requirements for the paralympic athletes.
Plus by holding 2 different competitions the paralympic athletes are not over shadowed by the able bodied athletes.
