Paramount Saddlery (Canada) experiences - work on Butet...

Would love to hear about others’ experiences with Paramount Saddlery in Ontario. I spoke with the owner about replacing the panels on my Butet and was very comfortable with him (and he’s authorized to do the work), but love the saddle and can’t afford a new one if something goes wrong, so looking for a reality check. I’d be sending it from US to him, so any thoughts on that would also be welcome. Thanks!

Had a saddle repaired there recently with no issues . . . haven’t heard any bad about the saddlery, saddle fitter/repairer of choice locally for lots of riders I know . . .

Don’t have a Butet or any french saddles, so no brand specific experience: but I completely trust Christian Lowe.
He has fitted and adjusted various saddles for both my horses throughout the years. Very knowledgeable, skilled – and above all – honest. Never tries to upsell. Never minimizes the client’s needs.

I would definitely send him a saddle to be fixed.

Paramount has fitted/made adjustments for us with no issues. My BF bought a saddle for his hard to fit horse and they both love it. They’re super reasonable to, we have a young horse (growing tons) and paramount was able to come up with an interm option for the baby with a saddle we already had.

I havent heard anything bad about them, their leatherwork is lovely. I love all their saddle posts on Instagram!

Thanks, everyone. Nice to have my impression confirmed.

Returning to report that not only was Christian great to deal with, he did a gorgeous job on my saddle, and arranged it so that I was only without it for about a week or 10 days. All the thumbs up!
