Parcival Offspring

I have a lovely TB mare who I hope to cross onto the KWPN Stallion “Parcival”.

While I have done my research, i’m looking for more ‘reviews’ from those with first hand experience. My question is, for those of you with experience with this stallion and/or offspring, how do you find his foals? What did he improve on the mare? How is their disposition and train-ability? What was the size like? How did you find his semen quality?

TIA

I’ve ridden a dutch mare by Parcival. She’s just the coolest little thing. A+++ work ethic. Wonderful combo of forward and reactive without being a spooky moron. She’s not the best thing conformation-wise. A little stout in the body, shortish legs, and a very upright neck (a bit like a dutch harness horse). I know her dam was also dutch, but I don’t know anything helpful.

Thanks for your insight Glyphica! It’s always great to hear from people with personal experience. Would be really interesting to know what the dam was like!

I am very interested in breeding to Parcival, but have noticed in his pic on FB, his hind legs are exceedingly straight. Has anyone had any issues with offspring inheriting any issues in that area? His younger pictures show a more angled hind end, but his older pics are almost straight top to bottom.
Thanks for any insight!

My mare is booked into him and i’m very excited about it, however still looking for more information on his offspring for my own curiosity.

I also agree with Waldon, he is relatively straight through the stifles and hocks but I noticed it in his ‘younger years’ as well. It was a slight concern for me but his level of training, success and jump at 20 swayed me
