So, we finally got everything going in the same direction! Parker is boarding at the stables, is catchable, and a sweetheart of the stables. Granddaughter finally got to ride in a lesson with him today.

Parker the wonder horse.

I was thinking that you’ve had him for a couple of years, and she might be ready to start outgrowing him. But he seems a stout fellow!
And he looks very happy.
He’s quite stout. In fact, I sometimes ride him myself!
Granddaughter has a little sister who is just 11 months old, and if possible, even more horse crazy. Baby sister loves all animals. She was at the barn yesterday and so thrilled to see and touch Parker. I imagine that by the time she is ready to start riding, Parker will be about the most perfect child’s pony we could imagine.
For his part, Parker is still trying to figure out what to do when instructor says stop and rider says go! Yesterday he got a bit confused when GD gave him more leg just as instructor was asking him to walk. He stopped and sort of looked back and forth to each of them like, “Will someone please make a decision?”
I suspect he will eventually figure out that when small person is aboard and instructor is on the line, instructor’s word goes!
