Parks in MD where they don't hunt

Looking to make a list of parks in MD where we can ride during the week and where they don’t hunt during hunting season.

So far this is what I have:

Agricultural History Farm, 18400 Muncaster Road, Derwood MD

any other good ones?

Gunpowder State Park (Sweet Air). They do have one or two weekends of hunting to control the deer population but they post signs well in advance and let you know the area of the park the hunters will be located. I believe that may be in sometime in January.

Fair Hill is a managed hunt area so they only have a few days out the year they hunt.

Schooley Mill Park in Highland

Rockburn Park in Elkridge. This park also has direct access to Patapsco state park (Avalon area) which does not allow hunting.

Patapsco state park Mckeldin has 2 days of hunting each season, but it is well marked/advertised in advance.

Just got this via email because I requested the Woodstock park’s hunting schedule. Baylady – I’ll email it to you too.

Excellent information Jazzrider!

Thanks KlawPaws! We really need to meet in the middle and ride together again. Maybe we can do Gettysburg again some time this winter!

Jug Bay Natural Area, in PG County has no hunting and trails for horses, hikes, bikers, etc. 8 miles of trails, good map online, can ride them twice for a longer ride.

Rosaryville State Park, PG County also, has managed Bow hunts only, very limited. Cedarville State Forest has a non-hunting zone and a hunting zone, PG County.
