Parlanti Miami field boots, anyone??

I was holding them while in my local Dover and (unsuccessfully) trying on other boots. I didn’t dare try them on as the $600 price tag isn’t in the budget. I just got another pair of Volants but noticed my old pair are starting to crack around the foot. I’m hoping they hold out for the remainder of this year so I can save my new Volants for shows, but…we shall see.

So, can anyone comment on the Parlantis? How they fit, how they hold up, etc?

So, bad news for you: the $600 ones are the cheaply made ones with a canvas lining. The real boots are $1000.

I had the Miami for 3 years and just bought a pair of the Dallas (which have a round toe). The Dallas are thicker and better made.

I love mine. They fit so much better than Ariats that always have a huge ankle. However, they are not everyday kind of boots, they are very soft and the leather is not thick - however I’m not sure any boot made today is really going to hold up to everyday use for years on end. They’re all soft and leather is thinner today than it used to be.

They’re soft and gorgeous and the fit is super flattering, but they are known for wearing out quickly. Definitely not “every day” boots.

They do not wear well at all. They are very popular in the hunter circuit, and if you go to the shows, just look around at the riders with Parlanti boots.

They all have holes on the inner calf. Not just wear marks, but big gaping holes.

Not that I wore them every single day, but my 3 year old Miamis had no holes in them. I probably wore them one or two days a week for lessons in that time.

Also, the resale value on them is insane, I sold them for what I paid for them after wearing them for 3 years.
