Parlanti tall boots

Hi

I am hoping I can get a little help with parlanti tall boot sizing. I finally ordered myself a pair of the Aspen pro’s. I ordered online through a tack shop who sized me this summer. Once I received them I emailed the tack shop and thought they were to small in the calf. I sent some pictures and explained, and the tack owner assured me I would get them on. And if I went the size bigger they would end up stretching and being too big. After much trying I finally got them on, but only wearing socks. I’ve been wearing them around the house every evening, and they are getting a lot better. Last night I actually got them done up with breeches on. But didn’t last too long, I could actually feel my calf pulsating, and my feet go numb.

So to all of you that have parlanti’s is this normal? Will they stretch out and fit? Is this too tight?? I was told by friends that parlanti’s were easy to break in, so I’m a little worried I got the size too small.

Any advice is appreciated.

I had the same problem. I tried all kind of things to get them to stretch out a bit. Finally gave up and took them to a boot repair place and had the calves stretched. That really helped.

I have two pairs of Parlantis and both fit like you describe when I first got them. They fit perfectly now. I did use the bathtub method on my second pair, which worked wonderfully. I was terrified to submerge my brand new, expensive boots in water, but it turned out fine! I love these boots and am so glad I didn’t size up.

I have a pair of the Denver’s and the dallas pros. What you’re describing I had while breaking in the pros, but not the Denver’s. The pro leather is thicker and not quite as soft (so you don’t get holes as easily) so I assume that’s why they’re harder to break in.

This was normal for me! In 2013 I took my measurements and sent them to Gianluca and he sent back a pair of off the rack boots that fit. My feet would go numb even after I thought I had them broken in. I ended up wearing one of those gel sleeves on my ankle for a little while, and when I took that off my boots felt so much better.

I would HIGHLY recommend not sizing up. I’ve known people who have had Parlantis and then lost weight, and their boots sag dramatically.
