Anyone out there ride in a Passier Ehning close contact? What especially do you like about it?
I got a Passier Hoy close contact/cross country saddle for a steal, but it’s just not quite right for me. Am wondering if the Ehning might work better, it looks like the seat might be a bit deeper?
Backstory - I rode in A LOT of Passier dressage saddles as a teen, and still like a saddle without huge blocks (1990s era Passier GG etc.)
Got back into jumping a number of years ago. Have a Kentaur Naxxos that I love, but was bought for my old narrow TB, and is not going to work for big wide WB mare! I liked the Antares I used on my lease horse, and have not liked any of the CWD models I have tried.
So, because I have always liked Passier dressage saddles, thought I would try a Passier close contact, especially since they seem to fit the huge-shouldered horses well (which my mare definately is).
Also - i cannot find a used Ehning saddle anywhere in North America. Is it because once people have one, they never give it up?
