Gary Severson, aka The Saddle Doctor, passed away in PA on Saturday, October 19th. He was an amazing, thoughtful & kind person, as well as a gifted saddle fitter. Simply one of the best… always going the extra mile to help.
He was just an amazing person and taught us so much back in the day when fitting a saddle meant fitting 3 fingers under the pommel. Our horses will always be grateful. RIP, and condolences to all of his people.
He really was the best in our area. Huge hit for everyone, everywhere. My condolences to all of his family and connections.
That’s a huge loss…
Gary was an exceptional horseman and a gentleman. I felt a twinge when he retired from serving New England’s horses and humans, but was glad he was enjoying retirement. His passing has left a hole in the souls of all who knew him (and enjoyed his phenomenal stories). Condolences to his family and to Dougie with whom he had a great working relationship. God speed Gary.
