Do they work? I REALLY want one. Anyone know of a used one?
I am betting that once you get one, you NEVER want to get rid of it.
I knew somebody who had one in the 70s.
That’s all I can tell you about it.
I have one and I love it saves a lot of time and works great
This is yet another reminder of things I hate to do in the house, but my pasture would be immaculate.
I really need to vacuum the house, but the pasture looks great. Priorities don’t you know.
Love my Greystone vac. It was my christmas present (birthday and anniversary present from now 'til forever), a very expensive gift.
I wouldn’t ever want to part with it. But keep an eye out on craig’s list, etc, you never know. Hope you find one.
Waaaait just a second there. A pasture vacuum? What’n the Sam Hill?

Yes it’s true, and I desperately want one! SANTA CAN YOU HEAR ME!
… so I guess I will start saving my pennies, about 350,000 of them.
Well, this I gotta see.

OK, I love a ridiculous farm implement as much as the next guy, but I gotta say this one looks like more trouble than it’s worth. The girl in the video has to use both arms to wield the giant poop hose – which she then has to keep in her lap in between piles. I can definitely fork a manure pile into my dump Gator faster than that vac can suck it up, with similar effort expenditure, and with the added benefit that there isn’t a giant poop hose in my lap. And then how do you get the crapton of poop out of it? Unless it has a hydraulic dump feature, emptying it is going to be tough. And it seems like it wouldn’t work except on grass, as it would probably suck up the footing in my sacrifice paddock, for example. Then there’s the issue of two engines running – the tractor and the vacuum. Excessive, and loud.
With regret, I’ll pass.
I LOVE my Pasture Puff Vacuum … Y’all seem to be talking about sumtin else ???
I’d sell mine but I am in MI.
Would you sell because it doesn’t work? Or because your practice has changed?
I never really used it, pastures are pretty big and once the grass gets longer it is tougher to find the piles and to suck them up.
I have the Greystone Maxi. Yes they really do work; however, the hose attachment is large, bulky and a bit heavy so for someone that is old and arthritic, they can be cumbersome to use. Subsequently I haven’t used it nearly as much as I thought I would. I’d probably sell mine if someone offered me the right price. I wish they would come up with an attachment for your tractor (or what ever you tow it with) to sit the hose in and a lever that allows you to drop the hose for picking up manure then lift the lever to move on to the next pile. Honestly, after a few minutes my arms are tired. It has a really strong suction so it takes a bit of effort to keep it off the ground and just getting the manure.
I have a Greystone for sale in MI if anyone is interested.
