Patch for sun shirt?

I have a nice white sunshirt that has a former trainer’s logo embroidered on it. I don’t want to wear the advertisement, but don’t want to discard the shirt. I have attempted to remove the embroidery, but I can see that it’s not going to work. Any ideas?

If you search amazon/etsy etc you can buy patches-- either a cute animal or object or something like an American flag, or you can get custom monograms very cheaply or probably farm name or logo patches made pretty cheaply as well. I would sew rather than iron on though since I’m not sure how ironing would work on synthetic fabric like that.

If you want to be a little snarky, you can embroider a red circle around it and a slash through it … :smiling_imp:

I repaired holes in a fly sheet by using fabric glue to attach some cute (dragonfly) appliques I picked up at JoAnne’s.

I recently repaired a hole in light nylon hiking patch using iron on patch. It was not a custom patch, rather the iron on patches many of us older folks remember from the 50s and 60s

I used the iron on the cotton setting with a hand towel over; no steam setting. I was concerned with harming the fabric but it worked well

Test a bit on the hem and see if your fabric does ok. I suspect it will since theses fabrics are sturdier than the nylon pants I repaired. There are a lot of cute iron on patches and I bet you can find them at Joanne Fabric or good craft stores.

I would buy in person. Some iron on patches can be pretty bulky and stiff. These patches at Michaels are cute

I hadn’t thought of Michaels. There is one very close by. Thx.
