Just as the title says. Where can I find a pattern for a canary vest?
Suitability makes equestrian patterns. Here’s a link to the only one I saw that includes a vest:

I’m jealous. About the only thing I can manage is to put a button back on when it falls off.
What an interesting website Suitability is.
Now I know where to get a pattern for just about anything one can do with a horse. Jousting no less!
Check Joannes. I bought a fashion vest pattern and modified the length and points a bit to look right. Now if I could find the time to finish it! Not sure how much you know about sewing… I’m a complete beginner… but an experienced friend reccommended bemburg rayon for the lining as it breathes much better.
Yes, it is an interesting web site. A week ago I would have been surprised to see the medieval patterns. Then I went to a Renaissance Fair and saw all of the cool costumes there, most of which were homemade by amazingly skilled seamstresses.
I have used the Suitability vest pattern twice.
One vest, I made myself. I’m not the best seamstress, but other than dealing with the particular fabric, had no troubles with the pattern.
The 2nd vest, I had a professional costumer friend make for me; it was bespoke, with muslins based on the pattern but with my actual measurements.
If you’d like, I can post photos of how the 2nd vest turned out. (I evenually sold the 1st one to another hunt member & don’t have photos)
The cut is different than the vests you’ll find for sale. That’s good or bad, depending on how you feel about the style.
