pedigree info pls

I am looking at a couple of mares for myself, to use for amatuer dressage. One has a grandsire, ‘Faust II’, I don’t recognize any names in his pedigree, wondering if anyone does? The granddam is a TB named Veronica, unfortunately no more info there.
The other mare is by Skeptic our of Gala Safita, I have heard of Skeptic but don’t know anything about either line.
I know the mare in front of me is more important than the lines but just curious.
Thanks for the help.

You must be looking at a couple of horses in Canada. I am also in Canada. None of the lines you mentioned are anything to write home about. Here is the page for Skeptic. http://hillsidefarmshorses.tripod.com/id1.html Although the bloodlines are not great, it doesn’t mean the individual horse will also be poor quality. As you already mentioned, the performance and temperament of the mare in front of you will be more important than the bloodlines.

Daventry, yes, I am. Checking out a different mare by Oberon. Do you know anything about him? Where do people find those nice TB’s with good movement?

I had a gelding by Oberon out of my thoroughbred mare. Oberon is by Idocus and out of a mare named Wirona (by Kristel)

As for the Skeptic mare, would this be her full pedigree?

PaulaM, How did you like your gelding? That must be a full sister, she is younger than the mare I am looking at. Do you know this mare?

I loved my gelding, he was very smart, but I was at a place in my life where he wasn’t the right horse for me. I know another Oberon gelding That has been successful in the dressage arena here in Alberta up to Third Level last I heard.

Sorry i I don’t know the mare, just found her on the CLRC database.
