pedigree information

These are three TB’s that are in our barn right now. i am very interested in hearing opinions about their sporthorse ability. Any information would be great (temperament, jumping ability, dressage ability, suitable for what discipline, health issues, etc…). Thank you!

I Yam a Mandate has the best pedigree for jumping of the three, IMO. For what that is worth, which is always questionable. The jumping sires in this pedigree that help this pedigree are: AP Indy, Deputy Minister, Raise a Native, Royal Charger, Hail to Reason/Turn To.

In Cold Storage and Hit the Bulls Eye have Ribot in their pedigrees, who some eventers have liked apparently, but they have a reputation to be “tough”, “hard to handle”, “not pleasant”. The one mare I had who had Ribot fairly close up was this way, not easy, though she had her reasons why.

Ribot, himself, was a tough SOB. I had a stallion grandson many long years ago who was a peach.

I’d take the horse with Ribot up close first- Hits the Bulls Eye. Really, I would. I like the rest of his pedigree, and, although I am no longer an expert on TB papers, I would like to think that mix looks like an awesome sport horse.
