I’m going to look at this horse this weekend and while I know evaluate the horse in front of you, I think it’s fascinating to see how how breeding comes into play. Any ideas or insights you have are appreciated!
That’s an excellent pedigree for a potential sport horse who is expected to jump.
Here’s the conformation photo from Wagon Limit’s stud farm.

Nice looking guy, but not terribly uphill. Not terribly downhill either, as far I can tell from the picture. He produces sprinters in Florida, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, since he also won the Jockey Club Gold Cup twice. And he seems to have produced a good number of tough, longlasting racehorses, which is also a good thing.
Reviewer (on the bottom) always makes me want to check the horse’s racing history for periods when it wasn’t running just because … But the dam of his daughter has well proved sport horse lines, and lines that aren’t rumored to have been lacking in soundness.
The people who bred Breckenridge were using Silver Wagon as the pattern for this breeding, I think.
