Pedigree Of (Possible) New Horse

I’m currently looking at a new eventer and I am curious about his pedigree, if there is anything that stands out, any potential problems, good lines, just anything

The two best lines in the pedigree for sport, IMO–based on a lack of knowledge of Australian TBs–are Green Dancer and Tertian. I would almost kill for Tertian for eventing. Danzig is either a good or neutral line for eventing, and Tertiary is just wonderful. She’s a half sister of Lyphard by Vaguely Noble.

For Racing, Gone West was one of Mr P’s best sons. Not so much for FEI level eventing. But a mare by Green Dancer brings the wonderful for jumping lines from Vieux Manoir, and Nijinsky is one of ND’s best sons for chasing.

The double to Alcide, whose dam was by a Roi Herode line stallion, King Salmon, is also promising for jumping. Master Spiritus, one of the great eventing stallions of the past, is from a dam whose grandsire was King Salmon.
