Good eye. It is her FAVORITE and has been since day one…nothing else has even been remotely interesting to her! It has a little plastic handle on the end that she likes to drag down the wooden stairs at night… took me forever to figure out the noise!

Ella’s favourite is her “String Mousie”, she doesn’t realize there are eight more hidden away for emergencies in case something happens to the one she is using. I tied a longer string to the mouse’s tail and it never leaves the kitchen. Whenever she goes to eat she will take the tip of the mouse tail in her mouth and slowly pull it then drop it repetitively with great deliberation over to the food dish. She puts only the very tip of the string into the food dish, then she will eat.

I love that dogs go the “I’m soooo hungry and you’re soooo nice” route when begging, while cats just give you the unblinking mind-meld look of “You will feed me immediately, puny human!”

Mine kind of begs (and eats) like a dog. In fact Mom and I were eating breakfast and I wondered where she was. She had been observing us from the bar stool.
