Pegasus World Cup 2020

Took a quick peak at Equibase… Spun to Run is reflected in a SCR but Omaha Beach isn’t yet.

Definitely, IMO, much more open. None of the lower M/L horses really Stricklands my fancy. Maybe this is a good year for a long shot?

Mike’s out a ride… wonder if he’ll get picked up by someone.

Still bummed about Omaha Beach but if there “might” be something with his RH cannon bone, don’t risk him and run him. The sport doesn’t need more Mongolian Grooms at the highest level on national TV :frowning:

Omaha Beach has an incredibly responsible and proactive owner. After Eight Belles, he wasn’t risking a horse again.

Oh I agree that OB’s connections made the right call, for sure.

I wonder if Gary West is regretting having decided to target the Saudi Cup with Maximum Security. It’s beginning to look like the Pegasus would have been a walkover for him.

Big time!! I just would love to see Seeking the Soul win it!

I’m with you on Seeking the Soul

Would have loved to see Omaha win it, but I’ll go with Higher Power now.

Magic Wand ran a great race, beaten at the finish by Zulu Alpha in the turf.

That’s a Cinderella story, to be sure! Zulu Alpha the former claimer wins BIG!

Mucho Gusto!

Yes, and I LOVED (sarcasm) the way the announcers kept talking her down – almost, never quite enough, blah blah blah. She’s an IRISH horse and a mare. Damn fine result and I’d be proud to be on her team. Loved the way she was looking off to the right going into the first turn – not really settled yet, running easily, not usually a frontrunner - but she still held on for second. I just wanted to reach through the screen and slap some sense into the announcers. Like second is some bad result. Maybe because she was “only” second last year, too? sheesh. Zulu Alpha was great, too, obviously, and Mucho Gusto in the classic.
