Hi! I just got a small PEMF “boot” from Respond Systems that I’m going to try on my horses’ coffin bone fracture.
I’d love to hear PEMF success stories! Thanks in advance!

I’ve not used PEMF on my horse, but I have a cat who has chronic bladder inflammation… I bought a PEMF pad for her to lay on and it has really cut down on the laser treatments she needs, so it has worked for her! Good luck!
We adore PEMF for maintenance of high performance horses. It really seems to help with the every day aches and pains of training, and keep them from turning into major injuries. I can’t say I’d put a lot of faith in it for healing a major injury, but I would certainly use it and hope for the best because I’ve never seen it cause any harm (and once you own the thing, you might as well get your money’s worth).
I am a PEMF practitioner and I can honestly say I see a difference in my mare when I keep up with her PEMF sessions. Of course I own a machine and I always forget to use it on my own horse! Lol. Like the above poster I haven’t actually used it on an active injury, mostly for maintenance, however PEMF is FDA approved for bone fractures so clearly it works!
I used it on my horse’s scapula fracture, as I mentioned. I also use it for ongoing bodywork. I did have an avulsion fracture in a finger during the time I was using it very regularly on my horse. Holding onto the coils for 40-60 minutes to treat my horse did help a lot with my finger pain and healing.
I’m also a PEMF practitioner. I started with it after having my horse worked on after a trailer incident on the way to a horse show. The PEMF practitioner there worked on my horse several times and he was able to show by the end of the week, soundly. She offered to let me lay on the human mat and I took her up on the offer but told her if I had to lay on a concrete barn aisle on that mat they’d need to help me up. Not the case at all…I felt better right away. Did more research and bought a Sol Pro and got certified.
I’ve worked on my horses, dogs, client horses and dogs, myself and a few other people. I’m a believer. My canine sports medicine vet is also a big believer and encouraged me to get started with it.
The first horse show I worked, I had the owners fill out the form with their horse’s info and potential issues. I didn’t look at it before working on the horse because I didn’t want any preconceived notions of what the problem areas were. Found every one and matched what the owner had written. The most interesting was a two year old filly who had taken a fall that morning while being lunged. She wasn’t lame but she was a bit stiff. As I worked on her I got to one spot along the lats on the left side of her back, and after a few minutes I called the owner over to look. From under the skin, a lump pulled up right in the middle of my loop, about the size of a hot dog bun. After a few more minutes, it spread out and dispersed. The mare gave a big sigh, and walked off loose. My vet said it was simply pulling the inflammation up and out. That was the side the mare fell on.
I worked on a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel a few weeks back, a show champion with a shoulder injury. Three sessions and the dog was back in the ring and winning.
Normally I’m the ultimate skeptic, but I’m a believer in PEMF.
