So I have heard about this therapy and am curious to try it on my boy but would love to hear from you guys your hands on experience.
Why PEMF therapy?
What injury/issue did your horse have and how did it help?
I haven’t used it to treat a specific injury, but I use the ActivoMed system for my own horse and my trainer’s PSG horse. I have found that there is substantial improvement in the horses after using it, but also her stallion is hot-hot-hot and the blanket is equivalent to giving him a pacifier - he will stand there and yawn, lick his lips, stretch, and be completely docile to handle for hours afterward.
My horse gets 35 minutes, 3 times a week, and he is super happy. He isn’t necessarily sore or in need of it - but he has been turned into a dressage horse after a lifetime of being a trail horse and sitting in a field. I think it supports his muscle development and recovery.
I know people who have used it for more acute injuries and had success.
