Hello all,
I previously posted looking for suggestions on boarding stables in Kansas City. At the time, my fiance and I were thinking we were going to be living in the Overland Park area and we got some great suggestions of near-by barns. Things have changed a bit, though, and it now looks like we’re going to be living in the Northland area of KCMO (closer to my fiance’s job). I’ve found a couple of potential barns in the area but I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on them…you can only tell so much from pictures and websites. We’ll obviously be going to visit before making a final decsion but if anyone has any feedback, or any suggestions on other places to look at, I’d really appreciate the help. I’ve lived in MA all my life so KC is a whole new world to me!

Just to give you an idea what I’m looking for, my horse is a 14 year old draft/QH mare. I used to event her but for the past 6+ years we’ve pretty much been trail riding. I don’t have my own trailer, so a barn with access to trails would be ideal. An indoor arena would be nice but isn’t required. Individual turnout is a must as my mare doesn’t play well with others. Excellent care, safe fencing, and a drama-free (well, as drama-free as you can get in a barn, LOL) environment are much more important to me than a fancy place or a big-name trainer.
