Don’t disregard it - but - most likely it is someone either admiring your property & or horses or looking to buy in the area ( is there a real estate sign somewhere in your area)?
Happens periodically at our place. Usually it’s because they are on the phone and there are a series of sharp turns just ahead. I usually let the dogs bark at them and, if they are more than a few seconds, I’ll go into the front yard so they know I noticed them. Sure enough, a few years ago, two of my neighbors were robbed about two weeks after I stood in the front yard with the dogs when a car stopped. My place wasn’t bothered.
It’s been 9 years and people still pull over to watch/take pictures of the horses.
Just wait for people knocking on the door telling you about the “dead” horse in your field.
They are probably admiring your horses.
We don’t get that, nothing can been seen from the street on our property but a mailbox, some weeds and a couple of apple trees. Plus the traffic on the street moves fast and there is no shoulder, if you slowed down there, you’d be creamed.
We DO get low flying helicopters and those piss me off. Our property has tiny street frontage, a long drive, and then opens up at the top of the hill with three acres of open space, in an otherwise heavily developed/wooded area.
We regularly have helicopters lower than I’d like, sometimes circling. Some are from a helicopter school about 20 miles away, I call when they circle low and complain. A couple have been real estate photo people…they take aerial photos and then show up at your door to try to sell them to you :(. Once I don’t know who it was, but it was the middle of the night and they were low enough to rattle my windows and wake me up. Last time it was the State Police, looking for someone.
Spam reported.
Most likely just real estate appraisers. Especially if your house is newer, they need comps for other home sales in your area.
FYI - three year old thread
