Persistent clear drippy nose

One of my mares has had a rather persistent, clear drippy nose. Too drippy to be normal, but not bad enough to seem like a vet visit is needed. No cough, great appetite… It just drips. Especially if you exercise her.

Allergies? It certainly doesn’t seem like heaves. But it doesn’t seem to be resolving on its own either.

I would think viral infection but wouldn’t that go away in a week or two?

Any excessive tearing in either eye as well? My gelding had a large cyst in his sinus cavity that was causing a drippy nose and as it progressed, more tearing in the eye as it started pushing on the tear duct. So it might be worth checking with the vet even if it doesn’t seem bothersome to the horse currently.

Clear isn’t likely an infection of any kind.

The increase in dripping with exercise does make it seem like something sinusy-y is going on

Not an emergency, but if your vet is coming out for vaccines, I’d definitely have it checked. And if she’s already been out, I would at least call and discuss potential causes, if there’s anything she recommends trying to see if it stops (or gets worse), and go from there.
