Pessoa legacy xp... HELP

![]( posted on a resale site asking for a saddle with a very forward flap for my long thighs. I got a reply and it’s the only one that’s in my price range, and it’s a Pessoa legacy xp! Do these even have a forward flap version?? Do you think it will fit my legs? I’m 5’6 and have almost 20" hip to knee haha. Here is a picture:

Please give me your opinion, I can only find one site that talks about that specific saddle and it doesn’t mention have a forward flap:((

This is the saddle I have, and I really like it. The flat isn’t “extreme” forward but is a lot more forward than my older style saddle I used to ride in. I’m 5’5" and ride in a 17" … I don’t have super long legs but am fairly long from my hip to knee. I event, so it gets used for stadium and XC and works well for both.

The model I have also has the exchangeable gullet plates, which are nice to have … Not sure if all the saddles have it or not.

Could you measure your hip to knee length for me haha? I’m really unsure about it!

Is there any way for you to go sit in one at a tack store? That’s probably going to be your best bet. I tried a Pessoa Legacy XP3 in an “18 (I’m 5’8” and SUPER long from hip to knee) and the flaps were fine for me.

I am 5’9" and 21" hip to knee. I can get by in a XP in a 17" long flap but the Stadium or new TT are a better fit for me.

Ok I just tried to measure my hip to knee…but I’m not exactly sure where to start and end…the tape was bending…I think I got 18", but that doesn’t seem that long, considering…

I’m 5’9", not freaky thighs, but I would say it’s a big contributor to my height. I like a pretty short stirrup. I can ride in standard flaps but it’s always just a little uncomfortable, with the knee poking over or the leg getting pushed back. In higher end saddles with flap options that I have ridden in, the forward flap feels right.

I bought a used Legacy XP a couple of years ago. From what I gathered there were no flap options, but the cut of the flaps on that model as a whole was forward. Since the price was right on the one I was looking at, I decided to go for it, even though it was only 17" and I figured I should be in a 17.5".

I love it and do not regret the purchase at all. My leg (and butt and crotch, lol) feel right at home in it! If the price is good, I Would say try it.

I have this saddle… I am short, 5’4, but my hip to knee is 19 inches long and I’m using the 16.5 seat and fits me great, I say the flap is quite forward!
