Pessoa saddles

How do you feel about Pessoa saddles? Does anyone here have any experience with the newer models, specifically the Legend Valentino?

How about the other popular models such as the A/O or AMO, or the Gen-X?

What are your opinions about their features such as the interchangeable gullet system, their panels (AMS/Bayflex), and the carbon fiber trees?

How about the overall fit and quality?

My friend had one of the covered leather models, possibly the A/O with the flocking. The saddle fit her horse well but I thought the leather looked/felt cheap for a $4,000 saddle. The grain leather might be better, but for that kind of money you could get a better quality used saddle of a higher end brand. If you want adjustable Fairfax makes a nice saddle.

I have a Legacy XP3 that I bought used from my trainer when my old collegiate started having issues. So far I’m really loving it and I would say the leather quality is decent and doesn’t scratch too easily with regular care. I think for a middle range h/j saddle it’s a good brand, but if you maybe want better quality I believe you can get an Antares Skylla for around the same price if you were willing to purchase a saddle with less aftermarket adjustability.
