Petrie Padova Boots?

Has anyone tried these boots? I am contemplating ordering them off Ebay, but since trying them on locally isn’t an option, was curious how stiff they are, and how much stretch the elastic really gives. Any input is appreciated!

I recently ordered a pair but haven’t received them yet. At that price I don’t expect them to be a super nice, stiff pair of boots even though the description does say they’re lined. I was told by the vendor I bought them from, to expect the elastic to stretch 1cm.

Ok, would love to hear your thoughts when you receive them! I couldn’t find anything at dover to fit me - Ladies 11, really tall wide calf. I haven’t shown in 6 years so I’m rebuilding my whole wardrobe and am on a pretty tight budget, so I’m ok knowing they won’t be top of the line, just don’t want to look sloppy - these look better than any of the Ariat or MH boots I tried, but since I can’t try them in person before ordering from Europe I’d love to hear some reviews.

Hi Natalie- thought I’d give an update if you’re still boot shopping. I’d ordered the Padova boots as well as a pair of Olympics from Van Huet online. I’ve had Petrie boots for like… 10 years, and find them very true to measurement. I did get an email after placing my order to confirm that I’d taken my measurements since I ordered the Padova boots 1cm tighter in the calf than the Olympics (which I’d done because of the elastic). Pleased with the service in addition to the prices.
Anyway, the Padova boots do seem to be higher quality than the Arial and Mountain Horse, but they are not stiff boots. I’m using my pair exclusively for the barn & schooling, so am happy to have a comfortable pair of boots that break in quickly. I’ve noticed that they break in more like field boots- wrinkles at the ankle instead of a “drop” like a stiff pair of dressags boots.

I show in my Padova boots… Got them for a great price also from van Huet! They look and feel fine  I wanted a cheaper pair because I already have a great pair of showboots. But those are too small in the calf right now, so am using the Padovas until I lose more weight :frowning:

I just noticed Dover has the Petrie Olympics on sale for $399 - not sure how that is in relation to the Padovas, but they have a pretty big selection of sizes. And at least they are returnable?
