Petrie Sydney Dressage boots?

Anyone got these? Do you like them? Are they stiff enough? I don’t need stovepipes but I prefer them not to be like socks.

They seem like a good boot for the price ($299 on Dressage Extensions)–I’m about to wear an irreparable hole through my current schooling boots…

Or any equivalent alternatives that people love? Maybe the Mountain Horse Victoria? I have off-the-rack feet and legs, I am grateful to say. I’ve worn Ariats for years, but they no longer seem to make a proper dressage boot at a sensible price.

They are beautiful, and feel like the most wonderful socks ever. Too too soft for me, and I loved the Ariat Maestro. I shelled out for the Petries with the softer inner calf, very happy with them. The entry-level Petries aren’t as stiff, but I found the feet quite stiff and solid. Very happy on a not-too-wide horse, unworkable for me on a sprung barrel. I’m short though - even on a tiny horse if it is wide … if your leg can hang the entry-level Petries are nice boots.

I have the boots for two years now and really like them. They are not a stiff boot, but that’s what I like about them. They have held up well, riding four times a week. They are a good value for the money.
