when uploading photos from my phone, I keep getting messages saying ‘invalid file’ or the dimension limits are wrong and I must manually resize the photo.
It only happens on about half the photos.
Try editing your picture by cropping it, see if that helps.
You can do that right on your phone.
The pictures that have too large a file can be cropped.
Go to edit feature, then go to crop, then crop by using fingers to move borders as desired.
Allowed file types are jpg, jpeg, png or gif.
Size is limited to 620 x 280.
If you’re taking photos straight from your phone, you’ll have to use an editing app to smallify them. My phone’s native picture size is 3024 x 4032, for example, so they really need to be quite a bit smaller.
If you’re at the computer, ms paint can handle this easily.
Really, it’s soooooo much easier to upload to something like imgur and then just link here. You also get much larger pics, so people can see what you’re talking about.

Got it to work with an app that resizes them.
Weirdly enough photos taken landscape do not have issues with uploading.
Generally a larger file has more details, smaller one is less clear, when using resizing programs.
Good that you found a way to get them to post.
