Pictures from WEG

Too cool. Keep them coming.

Does anyone know if it will be on any of the sports stations? I wonder if it will be on Universal. Lynn Palm and Jane Savoie have been on the university channel on Dish practicing or is that on HRTV. I can’t get RFTV anymore. Durn it!

It sounds to me like it will only be on NBC? I know that parts of it will be live on the local NBC channel here in Lexington. Otherwise, I think that feitv.org is going to be your best bet. (Per the other thread.)

Pics from Thursday morning.

sspry, I could not see your pictures. Maybe they are not set for everyone to see? Hope you are having fun!

Oh my GOSH Mao!

You should be SO PROUD of the Opening Ceremonies. I was incredibly moved by the opening. HOW COOL WAS THAT!

I believe the blue roan is yours? I watched him stand on a totally slack rein during the proceedings. Just so cool.

I was NOT happy with the crowd’s disrespect during it. But honestly I am not sure they knew what was going on.

It was INCREDIBLE.

(my other favorite, of course, was the medicine hat. )

Moonshine looked amazing!! Pinto, I agree, I don’t think that the crowd really knew what was going on, but I enjoyed that part of the ceremony. Especially the pissy little arab tossing his head violently at the end!

The medicine hat is Cody and he is a Breeds Barn horse. He does the Native American costume during the summers. (Which, let me tell you, is a HOT costume!) The chestnut QH was Spinner and the dark bay was Sneaky the Morgan, both also Breeds Barn horses. I was not familiar with the arabian, but they have aquired several new ones since I stopped working there.

I hope you guys have a wonderful time and I hope I get a chance to meet you both!

I’m so proud of Moonshine, he’s just been a trooper. Billy Jack must be a special guy too, but I’ve never met him.

Well tomorrow is Orion’s day at Devon and it’s supposed to pour and be a real noreaster.

I can remember when we went to the Gold Cup with the Nokota horses and Moonshine was of course always perfect. I was also thrilled that Hurricane Ivan decided he’d better wait till we left Devon. This nameless storm should do the same. After everyone goes home the rain can come, that’s fine with me. All summer it never rained and now it won’t stop.

Yes, keep them coming, wanting to see more photos. Let’s see Moonshine and Billy Jack and Felicia’s horses.

Here are my photos from yesterday’s Driving Marathon. . .

This was my first experience watching a driving marathon. It is certainly not my last - It was beyond words - so awesome.

Pictures from WEG Show Jumping Week

I took some photos while I was at Show Jumping week. I am by no means a professional, but hopefully it will give you an idea of just how athletic these horses are. Enjoy!

I went three days and had a great time. Here are some of my pictures.

Thanks for posting those mbroke.

All the photos of the grounds really give a sense of what it must have been like to be there… representations of horses everywhere in such lovely and creative forms.

and the snapshots of cross country jumps - great

Thanks so much RDR.There were so many things to see around the grounds that were not ticketed events. In the time I was there I barely touched the surface. On top of so many neat things to see, the human factor was so interesting with all the people from everywhere. We happened to see John Lyons with his horse in his booth and soon some men from the Netherlands came over and wanted to sing a song for him. I managed to video most of it. You just never knew who you would see or what would happen.
