Pikeur Coats: Sarissa vs Epsom

I’m hunting for a new coat. I have the old style RTS longer coat.

I am on a budget and we don’t wear coats often in TX.
So the 2 I have been looking at are the Sarissa and Epsom. Both in the $150-$200 range.

I’m just not sure on sizing. I have a Pikeur soft shell wind jacket that is an 84 (same as 42L) and it fits perfectly. No extra room though.
The Sarissa is only available in a 42L. If it runs small then I’m SOL.
The Epsom is super plain. But I will swap out all the buttons for copper buttons and add a brown/copper waist coat faux collar and faux cuffs. My mare wears a copper brow band. All the copper matches her nose.

Anyone have reviews on these coats?
I’m limited on coats as I’m super long. 6’ tall with a 6’3" wing span. Thankfully I have a squatty lil torso.

Because I do copper and pearl I’d like to stay away from crystal type bling.

I have a Pikeur Radina in a 16L, which is equivalent to an 88. I’m a few inches shorter (5’9") but also short torso and long arms. It fits well, but I’m not sure that it would have the arm length that you would need, as it’s just right for me. Also, it’s hella’ hot. Maybe the models you’re looking at would be cooler. I will say that it fits very similar to the Pikeur Diana I already had (bought another Pikeur from Europe based on knowing the sizing already).

I ended up buying a Horseware Motion Lite jacket that is basically a mesh, and it fits really well, and has extra long sleeves. It seems cool enough to wear when jackets are waived, but doesn’t give quite as formal of a look as a Pikeur. However, it’s made for the buttons to be swappable, which is nice.

The sarissa does not run small. It’s very forgiving and flattering. I’m a 8-10 US street clothes and bought the 12L. I probably could have sized down to get a closer fit. Nonetheless, it fits beautifully and washes like a dream.
