Pikeur Lugana Ladies Breeches - will they shrink?

So I bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Pikeur Lugana Ladies Breeches. They arrived in perfect condition. Beautiful fabric. Just lovely.

The problem? They are waaaaay too long for me. I think they are built for someone at least a foot taller than me. As is, the bottom are dragging on the ground by a couple of inches. They are not one of those that can be folded up easily due to the Velcro closure. If I fold the bottom up, they will be way too thick for me to get into my tall boots.

So I’m debating what to do with them. They are 50% cotton so maybe they will shrink, will somehow fit me? What is your experience?

When I have accidentally tossed my Luganas into the dryer, they thankfully did not shrink.

Might they have accidently sent you a Long? I’m 5’5’’ and the regulars fall at my ankle bone, way farther down than any other breeches I’ve ever had - but not to the floor!

They do run quite long, but no, they aren’t going to shrink that much.

Could you shorten them or have them shortened? [edit]

[edit] I’m not confident that I can get them altered properly:( That is a lot to shorten. [edit]

If the seller won’t do an exchange sell on to a bigger person and try again.

They do have long and regular but I get long and they just aren’t that long. Do they fit otherwise or are you unusually short for your overall size? Did you make an error translating euro to USA sizing?

Either exchange them, if they are longs, or any competent tailor can easily shorten them.

They are overall long for me, to the point the whole thing hit the wrong place.

The color is beige. The tag says sizes 42, USA 30, which I think means the 30"? The size fits me properly around waist and hip, but everything below middle of the thigh just hit below and wider than where they should hit. I’m 5’3".

Oh I will sell them for $130. These are brand new, never worn (well, worn once long enough to realize the size issue…)

That’s rather odd because I am 5’4" and the length of the Lugana breeches is fine for me.

I didn’t specify a length, I just bought a 38 (Euro size). Maybe my proportions are different.

I also feel lucky because I can buy them for 110 Euro because I live in Germany.

Great breeches though!

Euro sizes are such that the “long” size is just double the euro size, so a long would be an 84.
