Platinum Performance - Worth it?

Was hoping to hear from those of you who have used Platinum Performace - did you like the product? Did you use just the basic “wellness” blend, or did you use the “joint ASU” blend? Did you order any additional supplements through Platinum?

I am considering putting together a Platinum Pak for my new guy, but was a little taken aback by the cost. Seems much more expensive than Smartpak, but I’m 100% willing to try it if it’s a superior product.

Right now in my cart I have the Joint ASU blend, hoof care (his feet need a little TLC), and an electrolyte. Horse is 7 and in steady work - we horse show a couple of times a month. But I just haven’t pushed the puchase button yet. Ha.

Can’t wait to hear from those of you who have tried their products!

Thanks in advance!

My races horses are on just the basic wellness blend from in-utero through out their track careers and I know they handle the stress of weather related heat better then those who are not on Platinum. Their knees close much sooner and their overall body condition is excellent.

I feed Platinum to several of mine. I’m quite happy with it…all of my horses who are on it are super shiny and look great. My upper level horses are on the joint formula, my younger horses are on the plain old wellness formula. My vet suggested that I move to the Immune Support formula when I go to shows, but they only offer it in the pre-packaged format (the little single use packets), and I have no interest in trying to feed those to 5 or 6 horses over the course of a show. So instead I feed each horse’s usual Platinum Performance and add Zinc and Lysine for the same effect.

I feed Platinum to all my horses in work as well as broodmares while in foal. I find it is the best product on the market of its kind for the value. A couple of my higher performance jumpers are on the CJ formula, and one on Osteon as well. My young stallion has been on the regular formula as well while he is growing. I had tried to switch once to see a difference and I find Platinum far superior to other supplements of its kind.

I’ve used the basic Wellness formula at two different points in my horse’s life, both to target macronutrient issues. It’s expensive on the surface but by the time you buy individual servings of flax and vitamin E and this and that it’s actually a cost-effective way to feed them.

I also have my horse on Platinum Refresh for anhidrosis. He maintained acceptably for several years on One AC and electrolytes, but is now doing much better on Refresh. That is expensive but well worth it for the results.

Yes. Worth it. When I put mine on the basic supplement their coats blossomed. I highly recommend it.

All of mine have been on the basic Platinum for years now. It’s a great product and I highly recommend it. I show in H/J and have a broodmare, as well. My 30+ pony has dapples, all coats are awesome. I have one mare on the metabolic, as well. I would just start with the basic before adding in all the other stuff. I’m not sure why you would need to add a daily electrolyte, and personally, I think the $ would be better spent on monthly poly-g/adequan shots rather than a joint supplement. That’s just my opinion, of course.

Thanks for everyones feedback! I just ordered some and am very excited to see the results!

If you are in a boarding facility you can order PP in individual packets which are great as some feeders scoop level scoops while other scoop heaping and then some don’t get close to a full scoop…they arrive in a bucket and the packets are printed with the horses name.

I did the basic platinum in platinum packs for a year on top of a different joint supplement (it made it a little cheaper than the ASU). My horse was lovely on it. His coat was great and it helped his fungus-amungus with the extra omegas. I loved him on the platinum over other similar supplement blends from SP.
