Plum shadbelly??

A while ago, on COTH, I saw a Kingsland jacket in blackberry cordial. http://www.kingsland.no/?ItemID=2897. That color has stuck in my head since then. I showed my friend, and we’ve decided that we HAVE to have a shadbelly in this color because we’ve now been ruined for all other colors!

The closest that I’ve found is an Animo coat, but I don’t think that they make them anymore, at least, I can’t find it on the website.

Do any of the COTH fashion mavens have any leads for a plum or lavender colored shadbelly?

Drat! My trainer has a gorgeous Burgundy shad and her daughter has the lavender. Both are Animo I believe, but I don’t see them for sale now. The colors are super though.

I would recommend contacting Barbara from Horse and Rider Boutique, she always has her hand on the pulse of new colors, fashion and has high quality stuff!

Equiline also has them in that color. Just gorgeous - have you seen the coats also with the DeNiro boots in the same color???

WAIT?! WHAT?!! Link please ~DQ~!!!

Side note…I did find that it’s the Animo Lavinia in Ametista.

But I’m off in search of this Equiline plum coat!

I think I posted that original link to the blackberry cordial Kingsland…

OMG it is gorgeous. Get anything that looks remotely like it and post pics.

Jo McCracken will custom make for a decent price. The pic on the website shows plum.

RHRH, I do believe it was your post that started this obsession!!

Yaya, that’s perfect, thank you!! I passed the info along, that’s a great price for a custom coat!

All of their shadbellies and short coats come in this color option - color “54 Burgundy”

Thank you Honeylips! The Facebook link is private, but I saw the color on the catalogue cover that you linked. That color plum/burgandy would also look great on a chestnut! My friend has a gorgeous buckskin that looks good in any color!!

They’re pretty swanky!!

Um, thank you for finding my new obsession (; I think a new show coat may be needed this year after all! I have a plum plaid saddle pad that I love on my palomino, and I think the coat would look lovely with him!

Love, Love, Love!!!

It looks good on black, grey, buckskin. Personally, I don’t like to wear (or have my horse wear) anything different that makes me stand out from the crowd.

Stacey’s maroon coat and boots are awesome. Much better in person.

ToN Farm,

I think burgundy on a chestnut is a matter of the color of the chestnut and personal taste, I feel that my chestnut (a darker chestnut with more of an auburn coat than bright red) looks very good in Burgundy’s and plums.

This coat was amazing in person!! I saw Stacy riding her class at Nationals in it.

I also tried on the burgundy Equiline tailcoat at the Nationals. It was beautiful. So tempted yo get the short coat, but the price was astronomical.

Bumping this up-spin off from the “2016 Trends”, where someone mentioned a plum shadbelly. drool.

I have this coat. It really is lovely quality and I love the subtle accents in purple. Plus the lining is purple!
