When I open a private message the vertical advertising banner cuts off the right side of the message, totally covering the ‘reply’ button, so the only way to reply is to start a new PM.

Not a fix, but should be a work-around for now:
Click on the body of the message, hit “tab” twice, and press enter
Should open a reply.
