Hello! My barn is looking to host some clinics over the next year or so and I’m looking for your ideas for clinicians. So far we have Jeff Cook, Sally Collins, Cara Anthony, and Georgia Dillon. They don’t specially have to be located in the PNW, but we know it’s quite the trek for some east coast folks. Thank you!
Julie Winkle is out of Nevada and she gives a great clinic. There’s also Jim Hagman and Carleton Brooks in SoCal that do some clinics! Hope Glynn is in Sonoma area as well.
In terms of some that I would love to see but I’m not sure do a ton of clinics, Tasha Visokay and Christa Endicott also make the list!
I believe Ali Nilforushan used to do clinics. Not sure if he does them anymore, but I’ve heard him coach before at the shows and he sounds very positive yet constructive as a trainer
I loved riding in the two clinics I’ve done with Julie Winkel-- excellent instruction no matter the level, encouraging, challenging, kind, firm, clear. Well worth it.
I’ve also done one with Nick Karazissis that was fun.

Another vote for Sue Lightner.
I liked the Sally Collins clinic I participated in - horse I was riding wasn’t having the atmosphere and she later was sold to a quieter situation with her own kid - so I audited most of it.
She’s a HJ - heavily hunter leaning trainer. I am a show jumper / dressage rider so I didn’t love how closed she had riders’ hip angles and the fold over small fences. Her instruction was very specific and she reads horse and rider pairs well.
