OK, so I want to get a pair as you all seem to like them. The ones I’ve seen online either have a fairly simple “w” on the pocket or more fancy “w”. Why the difference and which ones do I want? I want the lightest weight fabric, most stretchy, soft ones that they make. Oh, any are any of the colors softer than the others? I’ve usually found lighter colored jeans to have a softer finish than darker. Thanks.
Oh, the ones with the simple W stitched on the pocket are on e-bay, the regular ones seem to have an offset W type stitching. Wondering if they fit differently.
If you check the wrangler website you can see color and fabric. I have three styles. Dark Dynasty (and it will fade with washing and dring) is 86% cotton, 13 poly, 1 lycra, and seems the lightest weight. Tuff Buck is a heavier weight and 99 cotton, 1 lycra. Black is 99 cotton and 1 lycra, but also seems a lighter weight. The other styles on the wrangler website look to be lower rise than the ones I have seem to me.Hope that helps.
Thanks so very much, Pottery. Interesting how some of the ones on eBay have very differently stitched pockets. Probably better to go with a more authentic vendor, I guess, for the real thing.
I bought a pair of “name” breeches on eBay once and they were funny, scratchy material grey market goods, I think.
I have the Dark Dynasty ones, and they are SUPER soft and comfortable and do fade some with wear/washing. I love them for riding, the stretch makes them easier to ride in I think, but they don’t shift around because of the stretch.
Oh, and check amazon.com for a really good price on new. Just be sure you know your size because they do run differently from old style wrangler.
