I’m basically not leaving home at this point, and really missing the horses soooo deeply. Can anyone recommend specific educational podcasts or videos or books to enjoy? I’d be interested in a wide range of subjects…from horse husbandry (farrier, dentistry, nutrition, veterinary care) to groundwork to grooming to riding skills. I’d love to use this time to learn something!
Major League Eventing is my favorite podcast. They release new ones twice a week I think. Mostly event riders but they also interview vets/grooms/event organizers, etc. I am all caught up :o so ill be following this haha
Also you could do a free trial on the warwick schiller ap, huge video library and he is a great resource for useful groundwork/problem horse troubleshooting.
Amateur Hour Podcast is a fun one! Makes you feel like you’re chatting with a group of friends.
Also really like The Plaid Cast.
I haven’t given Heels Down Happy Hour a try yet but have heard that’s good too!
Equestrian Legends and Chasing a fox in a little black dress is old but has good podcast’s.
It’s western, but Andrea Fapanni’s Along for the Ride is very well produced and I’ve enjoyed every episode.
If you like eventing, EquiRatings has some amazing podcasts. Likewise with the Eventing Radio Show and Dressage Radio Show.
British Horse Society has really good videos on YouTube with respect to masterclass clinics. There are also some really great Masterclass symposiums to watch: https://youtu.be/oTsVNx4HJo8
Noelle Floyd recently also ran a 50% off for the year. That might be nice if you think you can spare $100 in your budget and have some time to watch videos.
edited to add that Tik Maynards series on NF is fantastic and worth every penny. Very impressed and wish he was closer so he could (eventually) come for a clinic!
I second Along for the Ride with Andrea Fappani
Equitopia is currently running a half off classes special after you but a membership.

I haven’t actually hit purchase yet (sigh, budget. . .) But if someone could convince me it would be worth breaking my spending freeze. . .
I love Stacey Westfall podcast. Start from the very beginning. It is just the right length of time to clean two stalls.
If you like cow horses, the Cowhorse Full Contact is awesome! They talk to the big names in cowhorse. It is also hilarious.
Finding the Feel is another great one!
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair & Horse Show has temporarily made their livestream broadcast archives free.
Oops! Turns out it’s just the videos from the agriculture show, not the horse show.
I will tell my daughter Olivia you like Amateur Hour, thank you!
I’ve been watching the horse show. On and off, both day time classes and evening performances. They posted the link for it before posting the agriculture link. The only ones I imagine won’t be on there would be FEI classes, because even the paid subscription doesn’t air them.
I’ve been watching some of the pony hunter classes. So cute!
It really is great! Right now I’m obsessively following Olivia’s Instagram stories for my daily fix of Violet videos and pictures!
Thank you, I am super proud of them all for how well their podcast is going! Violet is definitely the high point in our lives right now, so nice to have a diversion and a reason to leave the house.
Because of Horses is a good podcast. They aren’t doing new episodes but the existing ones are worth your time.

Thanks! I am newly western from a dressage background, and still find it interesting.
Cowhorse Full Contact is by far my favorite. It’s reined cow horse, interviews with leading horsemen, but it is not only interesting and educational, but FUNNY.
Others that I listen to/enjoy: Along For The Ride, Finding The Feel, Section K Podcast (cutting), Stacy Westfall Horse Podcast and Dressage Radio Show/USDF Official Podcast
