Polar HRM questions

Hi all – not sure if you guys can help me, but I’ve looked around and can’t seem to get an from Polar or any of the retailers out there.

I just bought a Polar H3 sensor set, hoping to use it with a regular HRM receiver watch I have from biking.

Welp, it didn’t seem to work. When I hooked it up my HRM watch said “60,” and never changed, even when I removed the electrodes and unsnapped-resnapped the transmitter on the set.

I saw that the transmitter is “coded” and my receiver is likely non-coded, so am wondering if that’s the issue.

Right now I’m just looking for a readout, nothing fancy, but am eyeballing getting an H6 or H7 so I can use the KER Clockit app. That being said, do any of you know if those Bluetooth compatible ones also work with a regular wrist transmitter? (You know, for those times my horse has just finished a set and is jigging sideways, so trying to take out my phone to see what his current HR is isn’t always feasible )

TIA!

According to http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/products/equine-h2-base-set it’s only compatible with “the following equine units: CS600X Trotting, RC3 GPS Trotting, RC3 GPS, RS800CX GPS, RS800CX Science, V650 & V800”

Per http://www.polar.com/us-en/products/accessories?product=65117, the H7 should connect via bluetooth to the V800.

Thanks trailpal! Polar got back to me and there are only like 7 (very expensive) receiver watches that work with the H3. The H1 and H2 seem to support more devices: http://www.polar.com/us-en/support/compatibility_with_my_Polar
