Are there any head bumper like products that can spread out the pressure of a halter on a horses poll after an injury? Any other equipment or halter alternatives? Horse stuck his head in a gate and broke his jugular process. Coming 3yo warmblood stallion, so leading him with a rope around his neck probably won’t cut it. Ideas? Thanks!
There are a bunch of different types of poll pads you could try. I have a friend who uses a Thinline one. You might be better off trying to rig the halter so that it sits further back, though? Maybe attaching sort of a long, stiff browband type thing that would keep it back or at least sort of lift it so it didn’t sit square on the injury site?
Bump. Any specific product recommendations? I can’t be the first to deal with a poll injury.
