Pommel fit/Stubben 1894

Tried this saddle on my Arabian mare, MW (30) tree. The gullet angles looked great, no bridging, panels fit her back great, and they were not too long for her. The saddle was balanced nicely from front to back. HOWEVER, due to how high the pommel is constructed I could fit about 5 fingers, and even my small fist, under the pommel. Yet, the saddle seemed to fit great. Anyone have this experience with this saddle? The pommel arch is quite high and upside down U shaped, and then the tree points come out straight…not shaped like a typical gullet plate at all. I’m thinking saddle does fit, it’s just that my mare has a moderate wither?

It will help if you post pictures I think so people can see what’s going on.

Didn’t take photos before I sent it back…assumed it didn’t fit, but rethinking that decision now.
