Ponies in the stallion testing?

Anyone know who the pony stallions will be checking into the stallion testing his year? Heard a rumour of a Connemara!

For the North American one I only see one pony listed and it’s a Haflinger.

Stellar TVR
Catalog #19(A CN 34826) 30359-08
2008 Haflinger
Straden x Chione TVR v Altess
Breeder - Mary Procopio, USA
Owner - Mary Procopio, USA

Since the Pony Test doesn’t start till the beginning of November, we haven’t finished receiving all the paperwork on all of the entries yet. So the one listed is the one we have all the paperwork for so far. However, we are also anticipating a Connemara and a German Riding Pony as well. :). We know things can change last minute but we are super excited to possibly have 3 ponies in the Test this year!!! :).

Can’t wait to hear who they are! Thanks

I own the Halinger stallion, but I can’t take credit as the breeder.

He was bred by Eric Scheiber from Obergurgl, Austria, one of the top breeders there. Summer mistakenly put me down as breeder.

I’m very excited to have him attend this year and am looking forward to seeing all of the other horses and ponies on the final days!

I went and creeped your website New Horizons… LOVELY fellow you have there!

Thank you so much! I feel so blessed to own him. He was started lightly under saddle for a few months as a three-year-old, but then didn’t really do much under saddle until this summer. But, I am very excited at the progress he has made and am really looking forward to sending him to the testing. Plus, I am looking forward to meeting some of the people there in person that I have met here and in other sport horse forums.

Yes, sorry for the mistake in the beginning. :-/ But we have sent the info to be corrected. Can’t wait to release the info for the other stallions!

Pony owners let me know how it goes!! Hoping to send one of mine in 2015!!

We now have 2 ponies for the testing! We will have a GRP too! We will be updating the site soon as well. I haven’t heard from a Connemara though. Anyone have info on who it might be?

I have heard one was going, but no one knows seems to know who it is.

So glad the GRP is going too! I know who it is, and am very excited to meet his owner there and to see him!

We would love to send our young pony stallion down for the testing, but it’s going to cost a minimum $5,000 in just shipping fees alone (to get him down there and then back home again). Unfortunately, it’s too rich for my blood…so he’s just going to have to prove himself under saddle next year!

Good luck to all of the pony stallions who are attending! Can’t wait to find out how it goes.

Thanks Daventry!

Daventry have you had many crosses with your Goldhills Brandysnap with Appendix mares? What is the temperament of his babies?

PS I have a Sporting Chance baby (11 years old now) out of a TB back when he was with Richard. She’s a great girl!

Best of luck to the pony stallions! Very excited to hear who the other one is

I have one I plan to send either next year, or the following year (depending on how he matures). It’s on my bucket list to put a stallion through the testing!

What’s the name of your Sporty baby? We’re always interested in hearing where they are and what they are doing.

To date, Brandysnap hasn’t been bred to any Quarter Horse or Appendix Quarter Horse mares. He was bred to a warmblood mare this year, and we will breed him to a few more warmblood mares in 2014! I personally love Brandysnap’s temperament. In my 25 years of showing, he’s probably the most fun out of anything I’ve ridden and shown. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to show two of his babies for the last couple of years and they have also been a blast to show and train.

Her name is Petal. She’s a bay Medium with a lot of bling. Jumps 3 foot easy. We don’t do much showing anymore, I just like having really amazing horses and ponies. I think everyone should have the chance to learn to ride on really quality horses and I rarely sell my horses (only to very special students) I keep them for life. She’s well loved!

I know who is going too  I have seen him in person and he is very nice (so is his owner).

Good luck to all the pony boys. Hope to be able to send mine next year
