It’s Pony Finals week! Thought I’d start a chat thread.
Looks like usefnetwork.com will have on demand video highlights. ShowNet.biz says streaming but no other info.

You can get the current, revised schedule just by googling Pony Finals schdule. Or you can go thru the USEF site but that takes longer. All Flat and Model Tuesday, Jumping starts Wed. IIRC.
A friends daughter is doing the Regular Smalls. Any other COTHers I should root for?
My daughter and I are heading down Sat to watch. So happy it is in driving distance to us !!!
Whoa, they really moved the schedule around, are the numbers that much different this year or had they planned to overhaul the sched? Here’s the link:

Where’s the U/S championship?

Yeah, especially the Large Regulars kicking things off with Model and hack tomorrow and the first to jump Wednesday, they used to wrap it up.
No idea what the numbers are…find out tomorrow when I go down. I noticed they moved the sale back to Wed. too.
That schedule is only the latest revision, Im sure they’ll figure out they skipped that U/S championship and stick it in on the next revision…and they’ll know who is actually there for better numbers and time estimates.

Glad you decided to make the drive. All that’s going in Walnut is Medium o/f, usually 120-140 in that, then you have Jumpers in Alltech in the late afternoon, early evening. Lots of time to walk around the barns and shop too.
A good friend is in the Smalls!
This is a once in a lifetime for this kid and her family - she earned her way via car washes and fundraisers. Name is Bailey McCracken and the pony is Simply Scrumptious. So excited for her and her Mom and Dad!
Is it streaming live anywhere that we know of? Looks like it may be on the USEF site - says you need to purchase. Anyone know if it is free anywhere? I will pay, but I know a bunch of others that would love to see her go and not sure they all would/could pay.
We are going down tomorrow and showing in the regular mediums and the medal. Good luck to everyone!!
Shownet.biz has the orders (or will have) on their site. Right now there is no data, but I’m sure it will be populated once things get going tomorrow!
Bummed there’s no live streaming!!
There’s no free live streaming, but there is live streaming from Shownet. Prices seem to be reasonable. I’ve been using StreamHorseTV.com to link to shows and information. Pony Finals is their horse show Pick of the Week even though it’s not streaming free. With the show going on in several rings at KHP, there is understandably a bigger investment to stream it, so it seems fair that the viewers pay a bit to see it. I’ll be there to watch later in the week (oh, the joys of retirement!) and I’m looking forward to the USEF Network archives afterwards.

How exciting for them, I hope she has a great experience.

It is only live streaming of scores as I understand it. I usually buy the whole show to see every ride. I think that is $140 and you own all the videos forever. There is another version for around $60 where you can see all the videos during the show and about 4 days after it is done. You can also buy individual rounds
You also need to have an annual membership on top of the show only cost. IME it is money well spent
I wish I was there! Oh well, I will definitely be watching the USEF Network videos.

Except it’s not in several rings unless you want to see the unjudged, ticketed warm ups in other rings. Show is in the Walnut ring for Hunters in the morning and afternoon Tuesday thru Saturday. Alltech in late afternoon and evening for Jumpers thru Saturday and all day Sunday for the Medal. They work very hard with the schedule to avoid the two rings at the same time.
PF may be many things but it is also the best run, tightest scheduled show. Starting on time, cranking thru hundreds of trips, hacks and model efforts to wrap before the evening special events, most of the sale or Jumper classes run. If anything, it’s far easier to film or photograph…they even go in posted order so they know who’s in the ring, on deck and in the hole before seeing it on the scoreboard or seeing the number (most of the time). And if they tell you at noon the awards ceremony for XX will be at 4pm? Be there at 3:45.
Whatever excuse they have for charging, it’s not multiple crews in multiple rings.
Interesting, F8. Thanks for the detail. Now that I’m retired, I have more time to watch live streams, and it’s going to be interesting to see which providers prevail and see under what circumstances people will do pay per view.
