Pony sized endurance gear/tack?

Now that my mount is a 13.1h (and hopefully growing!) pony, I am going to need to buy some new tack :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a zilco add on bridle that I can make small enough, but would like a matching breastplate. They don’t seem to do pony sized, just ā€œarabā€.

Any ideas for stuff already made, vs ordering from someone who will custom make?

I’m sort of a fan of the custom make route. Some of the turn around is super quick, and you get what you want. I don’t know about being from Canada. I ordered from Trailblazers tack on FB, but have heard things about Beta tack as well… In case you decide to revisit custom options :stuck_out_tongue:

I found the Zlico runs really small, though maybe my arab is just oversized! I went the custom route with Distance Depot, custom measurements to fit my guy, and have been very happy.

But we need photos of cute endurance pony!

Thanks irish_horse! It seems riding warehouse has the measurements for the zilco stuff on their site, so I’ll have to compare and see if it’ll go small enough. I’m still hoping for some growth anyhow.

Said pony is only 3 now, so will grow both in height and build (supposedly part andalusian, should fill out). I just started her less than 2 weeks ago (when I had been told she was 4!). My plan is still the same; a few easy trail rides before winter for some experience, saddle up and hack around the property a bit through the winter, and depending on her development get her going a bit more in the spring as an Actual 4 year old. She’s been absolutely foot perfect on the first few trail rides, even conquering puddles and stepping over logs, tying nicely while I have lunch, and offering to lead a little bit here and there.

I think she’ll be able to cover some ground though

Oh, normandy_shores, that is such a cute pony, with some serious reach! What a fun, new adventure, keep us updated on the tack search. And colors! So many options.
