Position Open At A Fox Hunting Barn!

A great position came up at the barn I used to be a WS for. They emailed me and asked if I knew anyone. I had no immediate thoughts for people that would enjoy the position, but I figured some of you COTH’ers might know someone. It is a paid position with housing provided.

MUST HAVES:
Intermediate+ Riding Skills, pref some young/green horse experience.
Willing to learn (eventually to become a whipper-in)
Takes Direction
Grooming/Clipping/Tacking, body clipping can be taught as with pulling manes.
Love of the outdoors
Love of having a good time (we like to enjoy cocktails and tell dirty jokes, just how we are!)
Love of horses.
Ability to drive a truck and trailer.
Good driving record.
Not for the faint of heart (the hours can be long, in rain/snow/sleet/heat, but the rewards are great!)

Barn shows on local Hunter/Jumper circuts in the summer. One of the trainers daughters is a WS for huge BNT in SoCal, so they have great connections and often put on amazing clinics. They are amazing people, and they just need another hand to help with the horses and some barn management, along with hunting. I have learned so much from them and it was never ending fun! It’s a great position for someone who is looking to get into the horse world or fox hunting world.

I can provide a lot more information, please shoot me a PM. I would jump right back into working for them, but I just moved to Texas so it is just not in the books.

Where is this barn?

Just out of curiosity, what does “WS” stand for?
