Possible business idea

Instead of a community garden, perhaps you could find a single person or small business/farmer looking to lease a parcel to farm, grow flowers or whatever. Cut flowers are a good addition to veggie stand, by the way, something you could do yourself, both spring bulbs like tulips and summer flowers as well.

Maybe specialize your veggie stand offering with heirloom varieties or some uncommon types of squash, for example, as an added draw, something to “upsell” your stand. Provide a few recipes to help buyers get started with them.

Find a beekeeper to put hives on your farm then sell their honey at your stand.

I would love to drink wine and pet animals, but IDK if I’d want to be the facilitator of that on my property. There are a lot of farm stands around here as well! They do really well, sell out often and sometimes post up with baked goods and produce at small, local markets.

Another option for the goats is to take them other places to munch people’s weeds. You can get portable mesh fences to contain them.

If you are going to do a farm stand don’t try to underprice Walmart. Grow high quality crops -easy to outdo Walmart that way. And grow items that are hard to find elsewhere. I don’t know your climate or your pressure from deer and other critters but here are some suggestions. Yellow tomatoes (I find them very bland but some persons love them, especially since they are low acid. Lots of different colors and shapes of cherry tomatoes. Yellow meat watermelons, small fancy eggplant, pickling cucumbers, french filet beans. You rarely see these in stores.
