My vet is coming today to look at my horse. She’s had a bump on her face for a few months. It has not changed in size. And no bloody nose.
I don’t think it is a tooth. It is not hard and I can move it a little.
If it is an EH is treatment recommended usually if it isn’t changing in size and there is no bloody nose. It looks like it’s in the rostral maxillary sinus area.
Thanks for any info. Or thoughts on what else it could be. I’m trying not to think the worst.
My previous horse had an EH. Started with an occasional unilateral nosebleed (always in same nostril) after strenuous work. He was a headshaker for a few years previous to this as well. Decided to get an emergency vet appt at the closest large animal hospital after his nose started bleeding spontaneously. I never noticed a bump on face as it was much higher up in nasal cavity. Diagnosed EH and a really large one as well with a scope. Injected with formalin over the course of a couple months. I then sold him but happy to answer any questions you had!
